All dates and times are weather permitting and subject to change with little notice. A separate update will be sent out to provide the new plan.

The asphalt project will consist of multiple phases with the removal completed on one day, and the paving taking place on a separate day. The work will impact the entire community and will be an inconvenience. Your cooperation and patience will be needed.

8/4/2023- Good news! The residents in building 4 (11001-11023 Oregon Ave.) are able to drive on the new asphalt this evening 8/4. The barricades will be taken down.

– Please remember to not turn your wheels when your vehicle is not in motion as this friction will leave surface marks but will smooth out over time.

– Please do not park on the new asphalt for long periods of time and in the same location.

– The new asphalt will remain tender for the remainder of the summer especially when temperatures are above 75 degrees.

The parking restrictions for Oregon Cir will be lifted on Monday, August 7th. Please wait for the barricades to be taken down before driving on the asphalt.

Finally, the final wear lift of W 110th St. has been moved up to Tuesday, August 8th instead of Thursday, August 10th.

7/31/2023- Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 1st the asphalt removal will take place to all driveways and W 110th St. Circle. Please remember to have your vehicles moved out of this area by 6:30 am and have your garage door open or pull the release cord so the door can be opened manually. Street parking is available on the South side of W 110th St as well as in the Vacant lot across the street. You will need to park in these areas until Monday, August 14th. The following link has all of the information pertaining to the next phases of work. Please click to view. Phases 3 & 4 W 110th St. Cir_Buildings 1, 2, and 3

7/27/2023- The first round of paving is taking place today. They will be completing all of the driveways and the base layer to Oregon Ave Cir. Because Building 4 does not access the community from Oregon Ave Cir. the parking restrictions will be lifted for this section of the community on Friday, August 4th. at 5:00 pm.

The Board requested the wear layer of Oregon Ave Cir. be completed with phases 3 & 4 on August 3rd. Because of this change, the parking restrictions for building 5 & 6 will be lifted on Monday, August 7th at 5:00 pm.

Your Board President Margaret Brown has put together a wonderful document with the rest of the project schedule, dates parking restrictions will be lifted, and US post office mail delivery information. Please click the link to view the document. Sutton Place II Asphalt Schedule including Mail Delivery

There has also been a change to the street parking on W 110th St. The temporary street parking will start on Friday, July 28th at 6:30 am. This will allow you to park your vehicles in advance of the removal on Tuesday, August 1st. The first round of paving for buildings 1, 2, and 3 will be completed on Thursday, August 3rd. The final wear layer on W 110th St. Cir will take place on Thursday, August 10th with parking restrictions lifted on Monday, August 14th at 5:00 pm. All dates are weather permitting and subject to change.

7/25/2023- The City of Bloomington has approved the temporary street parking on W 110th St. starting Tuesday, August 1st at 6:30 am. This parking is for the residents with addresses on W 110th St Cir. Parking is only allowed on the South/East side of Oregon Ave and the South side of West 110th St. Both Oregon Ave & W 110th St. can be parked on until Monday, August 14th at 5:00 pm.

Parking is not allowed in the following areas:

– 20’ from a marked crosswalk or an intersection

– On a sidewalk in your driveway

– Within 10 feet of a fire hydrant

– In front of or within five feet of mailboxes or driveways

– Vehicles cannot be parked on the street for more than 24 consecutive hours

7/24/2023- The removal of the asphalt in phases 1 & 2 went well. It was a very pleasant surprise to see the amount of quality base underneath the asphalt.

The paving crew will be on-site Thursday, July 27th to install the new asphalt. You can walk on the asphalt after it has been compacted and rests for two hours. NO VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED ON THE NEW ASPHALT UNTIL THE BARRICADES ARE REMOVED.

Please carefully read below

The Board of Directors has approved our proposal to complete asphalt replacement to all driveways and main roads EXCEPT FOR THE DRIVEWAYS OF BUILDING 6. This work will include the removal of all asphalt, base grading, and compaction. Base corrections will be completed on an as-needed basis not included in the scope of the proposal. These corrections are unknown until the asphalt is removed. After this is completed, the paving of the new asphalt will be completed. All driveways will have a single 3″ compacted layer of asphalt and the two main roads will have two separate 2″ layers installed. The final 2″ paving will be the last phase of work to be completed. This will severely impact your daily routine.

We have requested temporary on-street parking through the City of Bloomington to allow residents to park on the South side of Oregon Ave. S. from W 110th St. to Minnesota Bluffs Dr. This will be available for the residents of Sutton Place Two for the duration of the project.

In addition to the street parking, the vacant parking lot across W 110th. is also available for parking. See maps for additional details.

Important things to note:

– All vehicles must be moved by 7:00 am or will be towed at the owners’ expense per the Boards approval.

– Garage doors must be left open or have the garage door release cord pulled so they can be opened manually. Damage to garage doors not left open or openable will not be the responsibility of Atlas or ACI.

– Per the Boards request, access to the community will be barricaded after the asphalt is removed and will not be reopened until the asphalt is driveable. The entire community will be opened on Monday, August 14th.

– Foot traffic is allowed after 2 hours.

– Please limit any deliveries during this time to keep congestion and traffic off the driveways and roadways. Your Sutton Place II Board of Directors has requested that occupants have deliveries walked into the property whenever possible during this time. Or you may want to ask friends in other communities to accept deliveries for
you. Amazon deliveries can be made to lockers at Cub Foods as well.

– July 27th Waste Management Garbage and Recycling pickup is being canceled in this section. You can take your garbage container to West 110th St. Circle after 5:00 PM on July 26th. August 4th – Waste Management Garbage pickup will occur on August 4th and follow their normal schedule thereafter, with the next recycling picked up on August 11th.

– The asphalt will remain tender for the remainder of the summer. Avoid parking on the asphalt for long periods when the temperature is above 75 degrees.

On Monday, July 24th at 7:00 am the first round of phases one & two will begin with the removal of the asphalt and preparation of the base. The installation “Paving” of the asphalt is scheduled for Thursday, July 27th. The first round of work will only impact the residents with addresses on Oregon Ave and Oregon Cir (Buildings 4, 5, and 6). Building 6 will not have any work completed to their driveways but will be impacted by the Oregon Circle road replacement. Please see the notice for what to expect and what is needed from you.

On Tuesday, August 1st at 7:00 am the first round of phases three & four begin with the removal of the asphalt and preparation of the base. The paving will take place on Thursday, August 3rd. This will impact the residents with addresses on W 110th St (Buildings 1, 2, and 3). Please see the notice for what to expect and what is needed from you.

On Thursday, August 10th the final phase of the project will be completed. The second 2″ wear course will be paved to the two main roads (Oregon Cir & W 110th St. Cir.) This layer of asphalt can be driven on after 24 hours.

The City of Bloomington approved the temporary on-street parking on Oregon Ave from 110th St. to Minnesota Bluffs Dr. This takes place starting on Monday, July 24th at 6:30 am and goes through Monday, August 14th at 5:00 pm. Below are the City requirements. Please note vehicles cannot be parked on the street for more than 24 consecutive hours.
