8/19/2024- Today the crew is working on Building 8 (8350, 8352, 8354 & 8356 W. 100th St.). After this, there are only two buildings left. Tomorrow, August 20th the crew will work on Building 9 (9957/9959 Cavell & 8358/8360 W 100th St.) Weather permitting, the project will conclude on Wednesday, August 21st with Building 11 (8408, 8410, 8412 & 8414 W. 100th St.) After all of the buildings are done, a final walkthrough will be completed. All materials and equipment will be cleaned up and hauled off-site. The request to pick up the on-site restrooms will be submitted to LSR. Thanks to all for your patience and cooperation during the project!

8/16/2024- One of the residents in the area of the building to be worked on this Saturday has a move scheduled. That said, Building 10 (9956/9958 Cavell Ave S & 8404/8406 W. 100th St.) will be completed on Saturday, August 17th with work scheduled to start at 8:00 am. The crew will circle back to Building 8 on Monday, August 19th. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

8/16/2024- These last few days have been very frustrating. The forecasts have been changing by the hour with a constant chance of rain at any given time. Again today, there is another chance of rain and it’s better safe than sorry so we will not be tearing off the roof of Building 8 (8350, 8352, 8354 & 8356 W 100th St.)

With that said we were granted permission to work Saturday, August 17th. The crew will not start working until 8:00 am. No work will take place on Sunday.

8/15/2024- With the wet start this morning and a chance of continued rain throughout the day. We have decided to call today’s work off. The crew will not be on-site today to start working on Building 8 (9949, 9951, 9953 & 9955 Cavell Cir.). Tomorrow looks better but the forecasts this week have been changing by the hour. We will determine if any work will take place tomorrow in the morning.

8/13/2024- Yesterday the last building with addresses on Cavell Cir was completed. Today the crew has moved onto Building 6 (9941, 9943, 9945 & 9947 Cavell Ave S.). Tomorrow they will move onto Building 7 (9949, 9951, 9953 & 9955 Cavell Cir.) The project is half done! It looks like we could lose a day on Thursday due to rain.

8/9/2024- The cooler temps are very refreshing after a couple of very hot weeks. Today the crew is working on building 4 today and will have it completed by the end of the day. On Monday, August 12th the crew will work on the last building with addresses on Cavell Cir, Building 5 (9925/9927 Cavell Cir & 9937/9939 Cavell Ave S.) The staging area will remain in the cul-de-sac.

8/8/2024- Yesterday was another productive day. We had some equipment issues as the telehandler was not working so a boom truck was brought in to hoist the material onto the roof. They were able to complete Building 2 and are working on Building 3 (9901, 03, 05, 07 Cavell Cir.) today. Tomorrow they will move Building 4 (9929, 9931 Cavell Cir & 9933, 9935 Cavell Ave).

8/6/2024- After the monsoon yesterday the crew has a nice cool day to kick off the project. The staging area has been set up and will remain in this location for the duration of the project. A portable restroom was delivered to the site and will be moved around as the crew progresses. At the end of the day, the roof for building 1 (9917, 19, 21 & 23 Cavell Cir.) will be completed. They will move to building 2 (9909, 11, 13 & 15 Cavell Cir.) tomorrow. Each building is expected to take one day to complete.

While on-site the project manager noticed many of the dryer vents are extremely clogged. The louver-style vent covers are not recommended for dryer vents as they are more prone to clogging and more difficult to clean. The louvers become brittle over time and will break when attempting to remove the.

The Board has approved the second phase of roof replacements On Tuesday, August 6th the phase 2 roofing project will begin with work starting on building 1 (9917, 19, 21 & 23 Cavell Cir.) per the below map. The crew will move numerically through the community per the map. Each building is expected to take 1 day to complete weather permitting. There will be 11 buildings completed this year.

In advance of the project, equipment will be brought to the site and staged around the community. An enclosed trailer and two dump trailers will be used for the duration of the project. On-site sanitation will be provided for the crew. A telehandler will be used to control the debris tear-off and hoist materials onto the roof.

If you have a satellite dish that is no longer in use and you would like us to remove and dispose of it. Please let us know by emailing [email protected] If your dish is still active it will be removed, reinstalled, and realigned. Service will be interrupted during this time. If you have issues with it after the roof is replaced, please contact Herny Hernandez.

Paper notices will be posted on garage doors prior to work starting on your building. Please read the notices for what to expect and what is needed from you. Please note vehicles should be removed from your garage and driveway by 7:00 am in advance of the tear-off and to provide clear access during the work. The roofing process is very noisy and messy. Each day a thorough clean-up will take place as well as a final clean-up when the project is completed. If you have any questions or concerns during the project please contact your on-site project manager Henry Hernandez and he will assist you.
