All dates are “Weather permitting” and are subject to change with little notice.
Satellite television service will be disrupted during the re-roofing process but will be restored as soon as possible.
The numbered map will be used to help indicate what buildings will be worked on and when. Please identify your home on the map.
5/4/2020- The bulk of the roofing is complete. The siding and small roof details are slower to go but require more attention to ensure everything is done correctly. The last two story buildings will have the large roof portions completed tomorrow leaving six three story buildings remaining. The gutter crew is making good progress and completing about three buildings a day. If the weather continues to cooperate, we are expecting to complete the project in about three weeks.
4/28/2020- Today was a rain day. The crews will pickup where they left off tomorrow and continue to make great progress.
4/23/2020- The scaffolding for the debris chutes was erected today at the three-story buildings. The roofers made good progress as well as the gutter crew.
4/22/2020- The gutter crew is now on-site following the roofing crews. They are completing about three buildings a day. They started at buildings 26 and 27 and will work numerically until they get to building 40. At that point, they will move to building 1 and work numerically to 25 leaving the three-story buildings for last (41-50). PLEASE LOOK FOR THE POSTED NOTICES FOR EXACTLY WHEN YOUR GUTTERS WILL BE REPLACED.
4/20/2020- The crews are really moving! Thank you so much for your patience during the project. There have been 15 buildings completed so far, with more completed each day. Please continue to email any issues or concerns you have and we will address them in a timely manner.
As part of the preparation to complete the tall buildings, (41-50) we will be erecting scaffolding with a debris chute at these buildings. The work is scheduled to begin on Thursday at buildings 41, 42, 43 & 44 with hopes to have them all completed by Friday, April 24th. Once buildings 1-40 are completed, the crews will move onto the last 10 three story buildings.
As part of the project, new gutters will be installed. The work will begin on buildings 26 & 27 and follow the roofing crew accordingly. Please look for the posted notices as to when gutters will be replaced and what is needed by you.
4/16/2020- The crews are moving along well. We have nearly completed 10 buildings to this point. Please be advised that we have received everyone’s emails regarding minor damage to building components such as screens, lights and fences. We have made note of these items and will get them repaired after the roofing has completed. We need to keep the crews loaded with materials and keep them moving but will make the repairs.
4/15/2020- The weather was cold but no popup blizzards came through. The first four buildings were completed and the next buildings were started. The rest of the week looks to be nicer and the crews will take advantage of the warmer weather.
4/14/2020- After an early start to spring, winter decided to return. The weather couldn’t figure out if it was going to be nice and sunny or a blizzard. The crews did their best to push forward and completed as much work as possible given the conditions. The first four buildings have started and will be finished shortly. The rest of the week looks better so progress will be made.
4/13/2020- The dumpsters were delivered today and the pre-project meeting was held. The crews are planning on starting as planned. Tomorrow morning the crews will begin working on buildings 1 & 2 as well as 26 & 27.
4/10/2020- The first steps of the project have begun. The first loads of materials and equipment were delivered today and placed in the staging areas. The final equipment and dumpsters will be delivered on Monday the 13th as well as a pre-project meeting with the crews. The first eight buildings to be completed have been posted with work to begin at buildings 1 & 2 as well as 26 & 27. The next round 3 & 4 as well as 28 & 29 will get started next week as well, weather permitting. Please look for the posted notices to be clear when work will begin at your buildings.
3/27/2020-The roofing project was scheduled to start on Monday, April 6th. Due to COVID-19, we have decided to push the start date back one week to the week of April 13th. Until the start of the project, the project managers will be on-site inspecting roofs to finalize materials and planning the work.
Construction was deemed to be a crucial work sector allowing all construction work to continue during the Stay at Home order. We ask that when work begins you respect all of the CDC recommendations such as social distancing. Any questions or concerns should be emailed or phoned in to the on-site project managers cell phones.
When work begins we will have 4 crews on-site working at two location throughout the project. Materials will be staged at the end of the finger streets and throughout the community during the project see map.
Please have your vehicle out of the garage by 7:00 am to allow the crews to begin staging the job site. Dumpsters will be placed in the driveways for the duration of the work.
The crews will start on buildings (1-2) and (26-27) and will move numerically from each start point. The large 3 story buildings 41-50 will be worked on last
We are expecting each building to take 2-4 days depending on the weather and the size of the building.
The crews will work Monday- Saturday 7:00 am to 8:00 pm to move the project along as fast as possible. We apologize in advance for inconvenience.
Posted notices will be placed on the next buildings to be worked on a day or two before work will begin.
Please view the notice that will be posted on your buildings for how to prepare and what to expect during the work. BTH- Posted roofing notice
Large lifts will be used during the project. Please exercise caution when your around these machines as there are a lot of blind spots and the operator is focused on the load.
